Born in 1990 in Maryland, Melanie worked as an art teacher for several years, but is now focusing on her own artwork as this gives her more time to spend with her two small children. She work mostly in oil using gestural marks, expressive line and a lot of texture which brings life and
movement to her artwork. Although she mostly works in oil she also works in various other mediums such as watercolor, charcoal, pencil, pastel and photography. Along with her own artwork she also does commissioned pieces.
